Northern Illinois at Central Michigan

If you look solely at the history of these schools, this line is a joke. NIU has coverd six of the last seven meetings between these teams. But Central Michigan has played pretty well this year. Bottom line though is that NIU is more talented and has beaten better teams. NIU is scoring 33 points per game on the road, racking up 474 yards of offense. They haven't done well as big favorites this year, losing ATS to Eastern Michigan as a 21 point favorite and losing ATS and SU last week against Ball State as a 4 touchdown favorite. But, they have fared very well at lower spreads, covering against Northwestern as a 3 point dog, against Miami Ohio as a 3.5 point favorite and against Kent State as a 10.5 point favorite. They are going to be very motivated here after dropping the last game as they did and they'll take out their frustrations on a defenseless Central Michigan club. Central Michigan is off a nice underdog win against Toledo but they are just 4-15 ATS off a win against a conference rival since 1992. Two stars on NIU here.
