Iowa was expected to have a top 25 defense, like last year, and they've been even better. Kirk Ferentz' Hawkeyes have yet to allow a rushing touchdown this season. The Hawkeyes are 5-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. They faced a balanced Pitt offense last week and allowed 282 total yards and just 55 rushing yards (2 yards per carry). Iowa is 4-2 ATS in its last six games at home. They face a weak North Texas squad with a losing record. Mean Green QB Andrew McNulty has two TDs, three picks, and has completed only 50.7% of his passes playing against the not-so-stout defenses of SMU and Rice. North Texas is on a 1-4 spread run, as well as 0-5 SU/ATS in its last five road games. The Mean Green are also 11-26 ATS against a team with a winning record. Iowa has been looking to run the football more this season to balance things out and it's working. Jordan Canzeri has rushed for 201 yards; 5.0 ypc, and LeShun Daniels, Jr. at 196 yards; 4.6 ypc, while mobile QB C.J. Beathard has 142 yards rushing. Take Iowa.
