A tale of two programs headed in the opposite direction here. UNT has been very good over the last couple of years, but that is not the case anymore. They lost much of the offensive line that made them a force in the early 2000's. They only returned nine starters this season and have paid for it with a 1-3 record. North Texas lost a close one last week to Troy State 10-13 while FIU is coming off a blowout 23-6 win against Florida A&M and teams at +3 to -3 after a win by 17 or more points against an opponent off a loss by 6 or less points are 45-16 since 1992. UNT is also 0-7 ATS (after allowing 14 points or less last game over the last 3 seasons. Also, UNT doesn't do a good job at the line of scrimmage. They are averaging 3 yards per rush while their opponents are gaining 4.8 per carry. Tteams at +3 to -3 that have been outrushed by their opponents by 1.75+ yards/carry on the season after being outrushed by 125 or more yards last game are 8-31 over the last 10 seasons. FIU is only in its fourth year of football and first in Division I but they have the horses to win this one. Three stars on FIU here.
