The New Mexico St. Aggies are off their best two consecutive seasons going back as far as the 1980s, but this isn't a program that has been very good about sustaining itself, evidenced by a 1-4 start to the season. The Aggies did put up 40 points against New Mexico, however, and their games against Fresno State (48-0 loss) and Sam Houston (31-11 loss) were real mismatches.
