The New Mexico State Aggies open the season in the deep end of the pool when they take on the Florida Gators. By all accounts the Aggies will field one of the worst teams in CFB this season, ranking #124 out of 128 teams. Tyler Rogers will control the offense for the Aggies, but that may not be a good thing, as he threw 23 INTs a year ago, including two or more in 9 of 12 games. That was just part of the problem, as he also fumbled nine times! The Gators have always had an opportunistic defense, and I would not be surprised if the defense scores multiple times in this game. The Aggies defense is young and small and allowed 6.25 yards per carry last season. Florida's new head coach Jim McElwaine will play both redshirt freshman Will Greir and Treon Harris at QB. It is likely that we see a third QB for the Gators in this contest. The last time these teams met, the Gators scored 70 points, and will likely approach that here in this one. The Gators beat Eastern Michigan here last year 65-0, and something close to that is likely to occur in this one. Lay the points on Florida.
