New Mexico at Air Force

New Mexico has not had a good team in a long time. Although this is not a good one either, they are better than they have been in the past. The Lobos have been 11-50 over the last five seasons, and have been 4-33 on the road prior to this season. That has changed this year as they already have two road wins, and one key ingredient to winning on the road is to be able to run the football, and that is what New Mexico does best. It's hard to envision New Mexico being a top 10 team in anything, but the Lobos' ground attack ranks #8 in the country at just shy of 300 yards per game. Air Force is also a ground-first team, so they will be running the ball a lot. That is going to make for a shortened game, and I think that gives the Lobos a shot on the road, where they have won twice already this season.
