Oregon fans and team personnel thought this team could make it back to the BCS Championship game. Those aspirations are now on life support after a crushing loss at the hands of the LSU Tigers. The Ducks lost 40-27, and need to run the table the rest of the way to even have a chance. The final score in that game was a bit misleading. Two back-to-back costly turnovers cost them dearly in what was a very close game. They will be breathing fire this week, as they face a Nevada team that was within one loss and 6 points of a perfect season a year ago. This year won't come anywhere near that. QB Colin Kaepernick and RB Vai Taua have departed, and with them they took over 425 yards of total offense. Nevada isn't one of those teams that bounces right back. Like a Boise State, they will need time. That will leave them exposed here against an angry Oregon team and this one could get ugly. The Ducks are great at home, and are 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 as big home chalk of 10.5 or greater. I like them to win huge in this one.
