BYU looked like a team ready to run the table after beating Houston, Texas, and Virginia over the course of three straight games. Then the unthinkable happened as their do-it-all QB Taysom Hill was lost for the season. It appeared the rest of the schedule was pedestrian, and many thought BYU was a good candidate to finish 12-0 on the season. Without Hill they haven't won, going 0-2 in their last two games to Utah State and Central Florida. They have seen their passing attack go from 7 TDs and 3 INTs at 7.5 yards per attempt to 3 TDs, 4 INTs for a woeful 4.9 yards per attempt. Hill was also their best runner, so not only has the passing game diminished, the running game has as well. It has also impacted the defense in a negative way by having to spend more time on the field. Nevada finds themselves in a good spot. They played Arizona to a 7-point game, beat San Jose State, and lost to Boise State by just 5, so they have hung around with some very good teams. Right now BYU is a very good team gone bad, so the Wolf Pack can certainly keep this one close. Take the dog here.
