Nebraska at Wisconsin

Nebraska was one of the best Big 12 teams ever. They will put their reputation to the test for the first time as a member of the Big-10 here. While Nebraska has surely had some dominating defenses the past two years, finishing in the top ten on that side of the ball, this edition is less deep and talented. The Cornhuskers are a pedestrian 53rd on defense coming into this game and they will have to try to stop a Badger offense that is piling up the yards and points. Wisconsin has something they have rarely had: an experienced QB that can really stretch the field and run as well. NC State transfer Russell Wilson is the real deal, approaching 10,000 yards for his career. He has already has found the endzone 11 times with just one pick. He has also run for nearly 7 yards per carry. Wisconsin can play on the other side as well at #7 in defense in the country, where they are off of five straight top-35 or better defensive efforts over the last five years. Taylor Martinez is taleted but is more of a running back playing the QB position and his completion percentage is down from 59% a year ago to 50% this year. He will be under assault here where the Badgers have dominated to a 30-1 straight up record the last 312 they have played at home. Under Bret Bielema, the Badgers are 13-3 ATS following a 28+ point blowout win. Wisconsin in this one.
