Nebraska at Minnesota

Premium Pick

Nebraska keeps trying different head coaches as it tries to get back to its former glory, and now it has Matt Ruhle taking over the reins of a team that lost five games last year by one score. That statistic could be a good thing as the Cornhuskers return 16 players and with just a little improvement could get the team over the hump and at least into a bowl game. The Huskers will look to avenge a 20-13 loss to Minnesota in 2022 and are looking to Georgia Tech transfer Jeff Sims, who has thrown for 4,464 yards in three seasons with the Yellow Jackets. Nebraska returns eight on defense, including four in the secondary and it has a new defensive coordinator in Tony White, who will stress speed and aggressiveness. Minnesota has some rebuilding to do after nine of its players from last season signed with NFL teams. The Golden Gophers do have Western Michigan transfer Sean Tyler at running back and the new QB is redshirt sophomore Athan Kaliakmanis, who appeared in 10 games in 2022 and threw for 946 yards and three TDs with four interceptions. Nebraska is 6-0-2 ATS its past eight games as a road underdog and the Huskers are 7-1 UNDER on fieldturf. Also, Minnesota is 6-1-1 UNDER as a favorite and 5-0 UNDER as a favorite of 3.5-10 points. The Huskers have gone UNDER seven of nine overall. Take Nebraska ATS, and play the UNDER (Max Play).
