While I've gone with emotion over talent in a lot of games this bowl season, I'm breaking with that here. This is a huge mismatch. Do not be fooled by the Huskers last win against the hapless Buffaloes in Boulder. Colorado’s offense self imploded in that game allowing the Huskers offense to dictate the tempo of the game. Michigan is ten times the team that Colorado is, and will present multiple problems for the Huskers , specifically their run defense. NU’s top two linebackers were hurt earlier this year and they have been left with an overachieving, albeit, slow unit. Michigan will take advantage of that with their ground game and their TE’s play action passing game. The Big 12 is thoroughly overrated and Michigan’s defense will have Husker QB Taylor on the run the whole day. Michigan is likley a bit dissapointed to not be playing in January but this is still Nebraska - an opponent that causes few teams to get "down." And, the Wolverines were snubbed by the Outback Bowl which could give them a little extra motivation to blowout the Huskers and prove "everybody" wrong. Pop-quiz: By how many yards per game Nebraska outgain their opponents? Uh. Negative 5.5. That's right, Nebraska was outgained this year. They don't belong in a game against Michigan. Two stars on the Wolverines minus the points.
