GATOR BOWL - Coach Dave Doeren is having his finest season for NC State with a 9-3 record. The Wolfpack won its final three games of the regular season while averaging 48 points and allowing 13.7. The Wolfpack routed East Carolina 58-3 in the season finale with Ryan Finley throwing for 409 yards while completing 72.7 percent of his passes with three touchdowns. The senior has accumulated 3,789 passing yards with 24 touchdowns on the season and Reggie Gallaspy II went over the 1,000 mark with 220 rushing yards against the Pirates. Texas A&M has lost three straight Bowl games, including a 55-52 thriller against Wake Forest in the 2017 Belk Bowl. Meanwhile, NC State has some motivation as it goes for its first 10-win season since 2002. Also, the Wolfpack has won and covered its last two Bowl games following its 52-31 blowout victory over Arizona State in the 2017 Sun Bowl. If it's possible to still be in a letdown situation more than a month after the previous game, then this would be it as the Aggies finished their regular season with a seven-overtime win over LSU although they didn't cover as a three-point favorite. The Aggies are 2-5 ATS their last seven games versus the ACC and the Wolfpack is 8-2-1 ATS its last 11 December games and 4-1 ATS its last five non-conference games. In addition, NC State is 7-2-1 ATS its last 10 bowl games. Go with the points and take NC State.
