NC State at Syracuse

NC State was not projected very high in the ACC at the beginning of the season. The offense was expected to hold them back, and the defense was questionable as well. They rolled out to a 4-0 start, and went four straight games of scoring 40 points or more with the eye opener being 41 against what at the time was considered a strong Florida State defense (which was ultimately not the case). Now they have faced reality with four straight losses. Against solid defenses they have scored fewer points in their previous three games than they scored in any of the previous four! Syracuse is not of the caliber defense they faced vs. Clemson, Louisville, and BC, however, so I think the losing streak, and the lack of scoring against some top defenses gives value to them in this spot. The Cuse has had offensive problems of their own, and owns just one win in their last six games at 1-5, and the resume of wins reads Villanova, Central Michigan, and Wake Forest - not exactly a good win in the bunch. The Orange have shown no signs of life at home where they are 1-4 ATS in their last five. Its hard to trust a team that has not recored a win against anything but a lower level team all season, especially laying points. Play on NC State.
