NC State at Boston College

This is a rivalry game in that former BC Coach Tom O'Brien is now running NC State. NC State has had all kinds of problems for Coach O'Brien on defense with injuries and is allowing 25.4 points per game. LB Terrel Manning, the Wolfpack's starting weakside linebacker, had surgery on his left knee and is out. The Wolfpack is without four of its top eight defensive linemen. North Carolina State beat rival North Carolina 13-0 on Saturday, earning its fifth straight win against its nearby rival, but now has to make a trip to cool New England. The Wolfpack rank in the bottom half of the league's defensive statistics and they  are 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a favorite and 0-6 ATS in their last six games as a road favorite. Overall in their last 22 road games as a small favorite (7 or less), NC State is 5-17 ATS. Boston College gets up to face their old coach and when they played a soft defense two weeks ago they had a 28-17 victory at Maryland, with 404 yards (372 rushing) as sophomore RB Rolandan Finch exploded for 243 yards. The home team is 6-0 ATS in their last six meetings. With no bowl to play for, this is a huge one for BC. Play on Boston College.
