Navy at Tulane

Tulane opened the season with a 7-3 loss at Wake Forest, then blew out Southern, and now the Green Wave is back facing an FBS team while averaging only 73 yards through the air. Freshman Glen Cuiellette was 12 of 23 for 134 yards against Wake Forest, and Tulane averaged 3.1 yards per rush, but its defense held the Demon Deacons to just 2.3 yards per carry and only 175 total yards. New Tulane coach Willie Fritz runs an option-based offense, and his team passed only six times against Southern completing two of them for a total of 12 passing yards for the entire game. It's questionable whether the Green Wave's run-dominated offense will be effective against better competition after its performance in the opener. Navy, which is another option team, is adjusting to life after Keenan Reynolds. Will Worth led the Midshipmen to last week's win after splitting time with Tago Smith in the opener while not being as spectacular as Reynolds. Worth has rushed for 66 yards and is 9 of 11 for 208 yards with no picks in two games. The Navy defense held Connecticut to 2.6 yards per rush in its 28-24 win last week. Last year's meeting went UNDER by nearly 12 points as Navy won 31-14. Under head coach Ken Niumatalolo, the Midshipmen are 37-26 ATS after a win and I expect another ATS win here against a weak Tulane offense. Play Navy and the UNDER.
