Mississippi vs. TCU

Ole Miss is 23-12 all-time in Bowl games and heads to the Georgia Dome with its best defense ever, tops in the nation in points allowed (13.8 points per game). They beat No. 3 Alabama (23-17) and No. 4 Mississsippi State (31-17), losing to LSU and Auburn by a total of seven points. The Rebels are 4-0-1 ATS in Bowl games, plus 6-0-1 ATS in neutral site games. The Ole Miss offense is strong and balanced behind QB Bo Wallace (22 TDs, 11 INTs), and the Rebels rush for an average of 167.7 yards per contest. Wallace finished with an SEC-high 25 passes of 30 or more yards. Instead of playing on New Year's Day in the new playoff format, TCU was dopped (or jobbed) in the rankings and has to settle for the Peach Bowl. The Horned Frogs are 0-5 ATS in their last five Bowl games, as well as 0-7 ATS at neutral sites. TCU had an easier schedule and gave up 61 points in its only loss (to Baylor). They faced an SEC team a year ago and lost to LSU, 37-27, failing to cover.
