The Bayou Bengal Cats are flying high once again at 9-1 coming into this one. That includes a perfect 6-0 at home. The defense has come up big all season long and currently ranks #5 in the nation in fewest yards allowed. Meanwhile, the offense slowly improves. Ole Miss is not nearly as good as they had been the last couple of years, and it looks like they are regressing, having dropped four of their last five and four straight ATS. Defense is certainly an issue as the Rebels have allowed six teams to go beyond 30, including a 49 by lowly Jacksonville State. On the road, the Rebs are getting beaten on average 19-32. Meanwhile, LSU has beaten opponents at home by an average score of 29-11. There may have been a 16-point difference between these teams early in the season, but the distance has grown as the Tigers are getting better, and the Rebels are falling apart at the seams. LSU wins big here.
