OUTBACK BOWL - This is a high posted total considering Indiana is dealing with several injuries or illnesses, and its starting quarterback, Michael Penix, Jr., is out for the year. Penix threw for 1,645 yards and 14 touchdowns but went down with a knee injury on Nov. 28. The Hoosiers did win their next game in a low-scoring affair, 14-6, at Wisconsin. Indiana has gone UNDER three of its last four games with the exception being against Ohio State. Mississippi averages 40.7 points per game, but it will be going up against a team that ranks #19 in scoring defense with 19.4 points per contest. Ole Miss has gone UNDER four of its last five bowl games and five of its last seven games after allowing at least 40 points its previous game. The Hoosiers have stayed UNDER seven of their last 10 as favorites, and they are 6-0 UNDER their last six non-conference games.
