San Diego State won five of its final seven games after changing offensive coordinators as Jeff Horton took over and since then the Aztecs have averaged 365.7 yards of offense even including the regular-season finale that they lost to Air Force 13-3. That was not a huge surprise as the Falcons lead the country defesnively in yards allowed and the Aztecs will have better luck against Middle Tennessee, which allowed 413.2 yards per game and 28.1 points. Jalen Mayden took over the starting quarterback job for San Diego State for the final seven games and threw for 1,721 yards and 10 touchdowns. The Aztecs also feature wide receiver Tyrell Shavers, who caught 34 passes for 581 yards, including eight receptions for 149 yards against Hawaii, which began the season's turnaround. The Blue Raiders won their final three games to become bowl-eligible and split their past eight games after upsetting Miami Florida in September. Chase Cunningham has thrown for 2,920 yards and 19 TDs with nine interceptions for the Blue Raiders, who are 2-5 ATS their past seven bowl games and 2-5-1 ATS their past eight games overall. The Aztecs have bounced back to be 12-5 ATS their past 17 after scoring fewer than 20 points their previous game and 10-1 ATS after totaling fewer than 100 rushing yards. Take San Diego State as a Max Play.
