Middle Tennessee State at Missouri

Middle Tennessee had the unenviable chore of playing Alabama in its season opener and was crushed 56-7. Blue Raiders QB Nicholas Vattiato had respectable numbers considering the final score, and the defense returns nine starters who will eventually do the job when facing lesser competition, but they run into another tough matchup here. Missouri defeated South Dakota 35-10, jumping out to a 28-3 lead, and then setting it on cruise control. Brady Cook threw for 172 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score in the first half, before handing it over to Sam Horn. The Tigers looked sluggish in the second half overall, and changing that will be a point of focus in this week's gameplan. Middle Tennessee has gone UNDER four straight after scoring fewer than 20 points in its previous game, and the Tigers are 6-0 UNDER after rushing for more than 200 yards.
