Army failed to go to a bowl game last season for the first time in four years. It plans on bouncing back with an improved defense, led by linemen Edriece Patterson and Kwabena Bonsu, and the return of linebacker Amadeo West, who played in only three games last year due to injury. The secondary is led by senior cornerback Javhari Bourdeau, who played in all 13 games in 2019, making 48 tackles (28 solo). Middle Tennessee has one of the best safeties in the conference in senior Reed Blankenship, who missed the five games last season with an ankle injury. He had 58 tackles (40 solo) last year in only seven games. The Blue Raiders are rebuilding a defense that returns five starters. The UNDER is 8-3-1 in MTSU's last 12 September games, and Army is 7-3-1 UNDER its last 11 games in September. This is an inflated total since the Black Knights, as usual, will use up a lot of clock running the ball. Play the UNDER.
