It was another great season for Frank Beamer and the Hokies who went 11-0 against everyone but Clemson. Sometimes a team just doesn't matchup well vs. another and that was certainly the case for the Hokies vs. the Tigers this season. While they ran the table vs. everyone else, Clemson thrashed Va Tech 61-13 in the two meetings. That keeps Virginia Tech as a dog here. Michigan had a pretty favorable schedule this season, facing Nebraska at home, but not having to face the Big 10's best team in Wisconsin at all. They lost their toughest road game at Michigan State and five of their seven Big 10 games came against .500 teams as the league was down this year. Denard Robinson turned in another good year at QB for the Wolverines, but he is still mistake prone with 14 INTs on the season, and that is where a Hokies’ defense can really turn the game. Dave Wilson ran for over 1,600 yards for Tech, and will be a factor inside the 20 yard line in this one as he has also produced 9 TDs on the ground. Meanwhile QB Logan Thomas has run in for 10 himself, giving them an advantage inside the red zone. Michigan is a dreadful 8-20 ATS vs. a team with a winning record in their last 28, while the Hokies are 18-8 ATS in the same situation. Under Beamer, the Hokies are 41-29 ATS vs. teams that outscore their opponents by 10+ points per game. Play on Virginia Tech in this one.
