Michigan at Nebraska

Michigan has had trouble with good defenses this season, but such has not been the case vs. pedestrian stop units. For a couple of years, Nebraska had one of the best, but is rebuilding on that side of the ball. This is the type of team against which Michigan has thrived. The Cornhuskers have allowed an uncharacteristic 192 points in seven games this season. If you take out the cupcakes in Idaho and Arkansas State, Nebraska has allowed 174 in their other five games, or 34.8 points per game vs. good competition. While the Cornhuskers are capable offensively, so is Michigan against ordinary defenses. The Wolverines were held in check by the powerful defenses of Alabama, Michigan State and Notre Dame, but Michigan has gone for 36.6 ppg vs. everyone else. The Michigan defense has tightened up, allowing just 9.8 ppg in their last five games. There are more opportunities here for the Wolverines, making them a live dog. Brady Hoke coached teams are 28-14 ATS in games following an ATS loss. Play on Michigan in this one.
