There are some great dynamics working here. While the Michigan defense has been disappointing, the offense with a healthy Denard Robinson is a very tall task for any defense. Mississippi State is the inverse of Michigan - they have a solid defense, but the offense has been suspect. Despite injuries and missing time, Robinson was able to generate over 2,000 passing yards and 1,643 on the ground at 6.7 yards per carry. The Mississippi State defense which was really tough early, has regressed as the season has gone on. What has was a very good defense that allowed an average of 17 points per game in their first nine, has turned into a bad defense allowing 30.3 ppg over their last three. The Wolverines have been a very tough out when they are out of conference where they have covered their last six. The Bulldogs are just 3-10 ATS after throwing for 280+ in their last game. Rich Rodriguez has something to play for here for obvious reasons. My computer matchp likes Michigan to cover the spread here and I agree.
