Michigan at Michigan State

Michigan State survived last year's meeting with a 14-10 win and the game went UNDER by 16 points. Both teams are strong defensively this season with Michigan allowing only 15.4 points per game while the Spartans allow 22.3.  Michigan State leads the nation in rushing defense at only 62.3 yards per game on 2.3 yards per carry. The Wolverines give up just 108.9 yards on the ground, which is good for #14. MSU held Penn State to 17 points last week and one of the main reasons was the Nittany Lions were able to convert only 3-of-14 in third down situations. Penn State was one of the few schools that was able to run against the Spartans, but it still wasn't enough in a 21-17 loss.  Michigan beat Wisconsin 38-13 while holding the Badgers to 283 yards of offense of which 183 came on the ground.  Quarterback Alex Hornibrook had no luck against the Wolverines' defense completing only seven of 20 passes for 100 yards with two interceptions. Michigan has gone UNDER four of its last five road games, including its last road contest at Northwestern that stayed UNDER by 9.5 points. Look for a defensive battle here and play the UNDER.
