Michigan State boasts one of the top defenses in the country, and the oddsmakers have wound the totals down in their games because of it. What hasn't been accounted for is a weak offense that has suddenly come to life, as the Spartans have averaged 37.3 points per game in their last three. The other side of the coin shows a Northwestern defense that is allowing an average of 28 ppg in their eight games against conference opponents, and they have an offense capable of scoring some here. The Wildcats are 9-3 to the OVER in their last 12 at home vs. a team with a winning road record. While Sparty is 7-3 to the OVER vs. a team with a losing home record in their last 10. I think that this one is too short with an improved Sparty attack. Play this one OVER the total.
