Michigan State at Maryland

Tom Herman begins his second year at Florida Atlantic. The offense was not good a year ago, and with just three starters back on on offense, Michigan St. held the Owls to 10 points. Trouble ahead for Michigan St. The Spartans managed just 16 points vs a below average Florida Atlantic team. The damage Michigan St. can do this season is going to happen on defense. Maryland coasted to an easy win 50-7 over a hapless UConn team, so not much to be told from that win. The Terps are replacing the best QB in school history, so I would expect a very tallented Michigan St. defense to limit what they can do on that side of the ball. Michigan St. is not going to generate much in this game, and I believe the winner comes out of this game if they can score 20+ points. Take the UNDER here.
