Miami Ohio at Minnesota

The Minnesota Golden Gophers have opened the season at 2-0, and look to make it 3-0 at home vs. Miami, Ohio. The Red Hawks are 0-2 to start 2018, and this is a team with some pretty lofty expectations. They retuned 16 starters from a year ago, including the starting QB. I think this team is acapeable of a lot more, and perhaps taking on an unbeaten Big-10 opponent on the road will bring the best out of an experienced group. Minnesota is not without problems despite the 2-0 start. Most of the heavy lifting on offense was in the hands of RB Rodney Smith, but he will be sidelined with an injury. That definitely hurts the Gopghers' running attack as Smith was generating 6.3 yards per carry as the main featured back. The rest of the Gophers have managed just 4.3 per carry. QB Zack Annestadd is completing just 54% of his passes thus far with just two TDs. I think the Red Hawks are in a good spot, getting too many points. Take the points on Miami, Ohio.
