A MAC matchup finds Miami of Ohio a better team than that 3-3 record. They've lost to Cincinnati and No. 20 Kentucky. They started 1-3 last year but still made a bowl, topping North Texas, 27-14, and won the MAC Championship in 2019. QB Brett Gabbert hurt his knee in the opener, but they've won three of five under mobile freshman QB Aveon Smith. He is second on the team in rushing with 259 yards, 5.3 yards per rush. Four starters came back on an offensive line that was 10th in the nation last year allowing just 21 sacks. They're just as good, allowing 12 sacks in six games. Miami of Ohio has been an underdog in the last three games but won two of them, winning at Northwestern (17-14) of the Big 10 as a +8 dog and last week's 27-24 win over Kent as a +5 dog. Miami is 38-23 ATS in MAC play, including 33-11 ATS after playing two straight conference tilts. Bowling Green has lost four of six and is 10-25 ATS at home after getting 100 or fewer rushing yards in the last game. Bowling Green has very little offense balance averaging 3.2 yards per rush while the defense is one of the worst in the country ranked #114 in points surrendered (37.4 pg allowed), and #128 in total yards allowed (502.4 pg). Bowling Green is 7-16 ATS in MAC play, including a 34-7 defeat to Miami of Ohio a year ago. Play Miami Ohio.
