Miami Ohio at Akron

Akron has yet to find the win column this season and, with Miami, Ohio out of contention for the MAC Championship, this one should be looked upon lightly by the Redbirds.  This is when teams tend to find themselves in a game, when they shouldn't have. The Zips did exactly that last week on the road where they took the game into overtime before losing, but scored 30 points something they haven't done all season vs FBS teams. The Redbirds may be 6-4 on the season but they have been outscored by 67 points as well and aren't deserving of being heavy road chalk. That can be attested to by their 1-9 ATS mark in their last ten as a favorite of 3.5 to 10 points. The Zips have had two weeks to prepare for this one and are 8-2 ATS in their last ten off a bye week. I like Akron in this one.
