Memphis at West Virginia

It's the Frisco Bowl in Frisco, Texas featuring the American Athletic Conference versus the Big 12. Memphis has a strong offense but the defense is suspect. They gave up 44 points in a win over North Texas, lost 44-38 to UTSA as a touchdown favorite, and had a 56-44 loss to Navy as a 9-point favorite. The pass defense is 119th in the country allowing 263.8 yards per game. West Virginia went 0-3 SU/ATS against top 20 teams but 6-3 SU, 5-4 ATS against everybody else. They have a powerful ground attack behind RB Jahiem White (817 yards, 5.8 ypc) and mobile QB Garrett Greene (656 yards rushing, 5.2 ypc). Senior offensive tackle Wyatt Milum was named a semifinalist for the Outland Trophy, given to the best college interior lineman. The Mountaineers last faced a team from the AAC when they defeated Army, 24-20, in the 2020 AutoZone Liberty Bowl. They're 2-0 SU/ATS in bowls the last two seasons, ripping North Carolina, 30-10, along with a 24-19 upset of Oklahoma State as a +5.5 underdog. Play West Virginia.
