Memphis at Arkansas State

This is a high total as these teams were offensive powerhouses last season, but this is a new year, and Memphis breaks in a new starter in freshman quarterback Seth Henigan. Memphis is 7-1-2 UNDER the total as chalk, including 13-6 UNDER as a road favorite. Arkansas State has a lot of fresh faces, as well, starting with new head coach Butch Jones bringing in changes to the offense. The receiving corps lost leading WR Jonathan Adams and second-leading target Brandon Bowling while leading rusher Jamal Jones is also gone. Jones used two quarterbacks in the opener, Layne Hatcher and newcomer James Blackman. Arkansas State is 50-31 UNDER the total as an underdog, including 12-2 UNDER as a home dog. These teams played in Week 1 a year ago and combined for four turnovers, and this looks even more like a game where the defenses will be ahead of the new-look offenses.
