Massachusetts at Connecticut

This is a huge posted total based on Massachusetts' weak defense, but it's doubtful that Connecticut's weak offense can take advantage. The Huskies are averaging only 21.7 points per game, and that includes a 56-point outburst against Rhode Island, an FCS school. UConn has gone UNDER three of its last four games, and UMass stayed UNDER in its 24-13 loss to Coastal Carolina last week. The Minutemen managed to score only 13 points even though they recorded 453 yards of offense. However, UMass netted only 63 yards on the ground on 2.9 yards per carry and lost two fumbles. Connecticut finally mustered some offense while losing 38-30 at South Florida, and the game barely went OVER by a half-point. The Huskies had scored a total of just 42 points their previous three games. UConn QB David Pindell was only 10-of-21 for 133 yards with no touchdowns and an interception against the Bulls. The UNDER is 8-2 in UConn's last 10 games against teams with losing records and 4-1 UNDER its last five October games. Also, the Huskies have stayed UNDER 11 of their last 16 non-conference games.
