Maryland at Virginia

I think head that coach Randy Edsel had bigger things in mind when he left UConn to take the helm at Maryland. He certainly has some positive things going on after dropping his final eight games a year ago, as the Terrapins are off to a 3-2 start. The only two blemishes have been vs. West Virginia who they held to 31 points, and his former UConn team for a 3-point loss. The defense remains strong and the offense is coming. After six games of scoring less than 20 a year ago, the Terps are averaging 24.3 points per game in their last four. Virginia is another story, losing to a Georgia Tech team that is 1-4 by 36, and to Duke by 25 points. They are allowing 42.3 points per game over their last four, having been been outscored 169-82. Last year, Maryland may have not had enough to exploit the shortcomings of the Cavaliers’ defense, but they do now. They also have the ability to defend a team that has problems finding the scoreboard. While Maryland is moving forward, the Cavs appear to be regressing, and their 0-7-1 ATS mark in their last eight games pretty much backs that up. Under head coach Mike London, this Cavs team is just 4-12 ATS following a loss. Fear the Turtle! Play on Maryland.
