Navy is poised to duplicate their success they've enjoyed over last three years as they have won 8, 8, and 10 games. Now with a schedule that lacks a top 25 team, only four teams with a winning record carrying over from last year, and plenty of talent on hand, I expect a big year from the Midshipmen. Maryland has really gone down fast and hard. They will try and regroup from a 2-10 season - one in which they were winless on the road. But breaking in a new QB, and dealing with lots of key losses doesn't leave them looking like they are having a winning season this year. When you consider that one of the wins a year ago was vs. James Madison, there is a lot of ground to make up. Playing on the road vs. a disciplined, talented team such as Navy doesn't bode well for them in the opener. Especially when you consider that under Ralph Friedgen, this team is just 3-11 ATS in weeks one and two of the season. I like Navy in this one.
