Maryland at Charlotte

Maryland keeps getting better under fourth-year head coach Mike Locksley, off a winning season that ended with a 54-10 bowl win over Virginia Tech. The offense returns its best players led by QB Taulia Tagovailoa and speedy WR Rakim Jarrett. They rolled over Buffalo in the opener, 31-10. Charlotte has home field and is playing its third game but it's been a disastrous start losing 43-13 to Florida Atlantic and 41-24 to William & Mary. They've already used three quarterbacks who've been sacked 8 times while the ground game is averaging just 3.2 yards per rush. And the defense has been worse surrendering 482 yards (218 rushing) in Week 1, and 559 yards (303 rushing) in Week 2. Charlotte is 4-13 ATS after two straight games where they committed one or fewer turnovers, plus 3-11 ATS after playing a game where 60 total points or more were scored. Good luck against the Big 10!
