Marshall vs. Maryland

The Military Bowl will have 9-4 Marshall taking on ACC opponent Maryland. The Thundering Herd and the Terps have never met, but they did face a pair of common opponents this season in Virginia Tech, and Florida International. The Terps won and covered both contests, and the Herd finished 1-1, but did go 2-0 ATS. Maryland coach Randy Edsall was snake bitten his first two seasons at Maryland, which saw his Terps' squad go just 6-18. The Maryland faced a lot of key injuries this season as well, especially at WR, but they should be relatively healthy heading into this one. One huge factor to their advantage is the fact that they played to the stronger schedule. They are also playing this game just 40 miles from campus, so it will resemble a home game for them as the fans will be pro-Maryland. The Herd has a long history of playing poorly on the road or at a neutral site as a favorite where they are just 2-13-2 ATS in their last 17, including just 1-5 ATS this year. Go with Maryland.
