Marshall at Charlotte

Marshall has a strong football history and the program appears to be on the way up again. The Thundering Herd has allowed just 21 points in their last two games, and take on a struggling Charlotte team that enters this contest at 0-5. Charlotte has no offense, and in three of their four contests vs. teams in the FBS, they have been held to seven points or less. At this point of the season, the Marshall defense is considerably ahead of the offense, and outside their game vs. a Power-5 Conference squad, Charlotte has limited the offense of their opponent to about 29 ppg, and the Herd is averaging less than that. I think Marshall can get into the low 30s and maybe even 35, but Charlotte's contribution to the total by may be zero, or under 10. I see considerable value in the total, as one team is going to have to do all the work and offense has not been Marshall's calling card on the season. This one stays UNDER.
