Louisiana Tech at Rice

Not much to play for here as both Louisiana Tech and Rice will play for the last time this season with each at 3-8. Rice seems to be in the wrong state of mind to try and close the season with a strong effort. The Owls have lost four straight games and have failed to cover any of them. Looking at the numbers Rice has been beaten at the line of scrimmage 5.2 yards per play to 6.8 yards per play by their opponents. LA Tech has been a lot better averaging 5.6 yards per play while yielding 6.1. All things being equal LA Tech has been significantly better on the season, and I like LA Tech to get the win and cover here.
