Liberty has been impressive in its first season as a FBS team and it comes off a 52-43 win at New Mexico to even its record at 2-2, which includes a 52-10 blowout of Old Dominion, which later beat Virginia Tech. The Flames returned 16 starters this season and coach Turner Gill was 41-29 in his seven years at Liberty as an FCS school. Liberty is led by quarterback Steven Calvert Jr., who threw for 3,363 yards in 2017 and he's picked up where he left off. Calvert was 24-of-41 for 417 yards with three touchdowns and an interception against the Lobos and the Flames racked up 568 total yards of offense. New Mexico State is 0-5 ATS its last five home games and the Aggies finally managed a win versus winless UTEP after losing their first four games of the season. The Aggies are #103 in the nation on defense in yards allowed and #125 in yards gained.
