Kentucky had covered the number five straight until a tough 27-24 loss to Georgia last week as a 2.5-point underdog. Stephen Johnson was 10-of-20 for 103 yards and Benjamin Snell Jr. rushed for 114 yards on 21 carries for the Wildcats. Kentucky was coming off three impressive outright wins over Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Missouri. Tennessee had some exciting wins early in the season but it appears to have run out of gas in conference play, especially after its 45-38 overtime loss at Texas A&M on Oct. 8. The Volunteers did beat Tennessee Tech, an FCS school, last week as Joshua Dobbs was 12-of-13 for 183 yards and three touchdowns. That broke a three-game losing streak, which included a 24-21 loss at South Carolina as a 14.5-point favorite. The line appears to be too high for this matchup also. Take the points and play Kentucky.
