The Kentucky Wildcats have been a much-improved program over the last four years. So much so that they won seven games or more for the last four years, something that hadn't happened at Kentucky for 100 years. Louisville used to be an annual top 25 choice, but as far as the Kentucky program has gone up, the Cardinals program has fallen. This decade Louisville dominated Kentucky, winning six of the first seven but they since have lost three in a row. The Cardinals program went through a period of losing just 19 games in seven years, but they have managed to lose more than that in the last three years alone where they have dropped 21. If you remember the old movie with Eddie Murphy "Trading Places," that has been the truth of these in-state rivals. Kentucky is the more talented team here now. Both teams have new coaches but Kentucky's Joker Phillips has been groomed for this so there should be less negative impact for the Cats.
