It's Week 1 in college football so offenses aren't in mid-season form yet. Both of these teams have young quarterbacks too, while Louisville has a powerhouse defense for Coach Charlie Strong. Kentucky sophomore quarterback Maxwell Smith threw for four touchdowns and four interceptions in eight games last year and has a long ways to go. The UNDER is 5-2 in the Wildcats’ last seven road games, plus 3-0-1 UNDER the total in their last four non-conference games. It's not great weather for offense either, with showers expected along with 12 MPH winds. That will be a plus for the home team as Louisville's Charlie Strong loves defense, having been the defensive coordinator at Florida before coming here. He has brought respectability and great defense back to Louisville in his first two seasons. Juniors Brandon Dunn and Preston Brown return as starters at nose tackle and linebacker, while All Big-East safety Hakeem Smith is a defensive anchor in the secondary. The UNDER is 9-0 in the Cardinals' last nine home games, and they are 23-11-1 UNDER the total in their last 35 games in September. And when these rivals meet the UNDER is 3-1-1 in the last five meetings, including 4-1 UNDER in the last five meetings in Louisville. Play the UNDER.
