FRISCO BOWL - At of this writing, Utah State's Jordan Love still is playing in Friday's Frisco Bowl even though he was cited for marijuana possession. The junior is 21-10 as a starting quarterback in his career and he needs just 139 yards of total offense to set the school record. The Aggies are 6-6 straight-up and 7-5 ATS and they have won three of their last four, including 38-25 at New Mexico in the regular season finale when Love went 18-of-35 for 172 yards and three touchdowns and an interception. Gerold Bright rushed for 113 yards on 19 carries to bring his total offense yards to 1,034 on the season. Gary Andersen will be motivated to win a Bowl game in his first year back with the school he coached from 2009-12 as he hasn't been in a Bowl game since that last season with the Aggies. Kent State finished 6-6 straight-up and when it stepped out of the Mid-American Conference the Golden Flashes were annihilated 55-16 by Auburn and 48-0 against Wisconsin. Utah State is 17-8 ATS its last 25 games overall and 16-5 ATS as a favorite. Also, the Aggies are 7-2 ATS in their last nine non-conference games. Kent State is 4-10 ATS when following a win and its defense allows opponents to convert third down tries 45 percent of the time and is ranked #120 in yards allowed. If Love doesn't play, we'll get a much better line with still the superior team from a tougher conference. Play Utah State.
