Kent State at Western Michigan

The Kent State Golden Flashes bring a very good overall defense to the table, ranked #17 in fewest yards allowed on the season. Most of that is predicated upon a solid run-stop unit allowing just 85 yards a game at 2.5 yards per carry. The problem has been in the air where they are vulnerable, allowing 220 yards per game. And, a sputtering offense that ranks #105 has resulted in a 4-6 record both SU and ATS. That plays right into the hands of a Western Michigan team that throws the ball a lot with efficiency. Western Michigan ranks 10th in the nation with 301 passing yards per game. Kent State is not good in this spot either as they are 0-6 ATS in their last six as a road dog of three or less, while the Broncos are 8-2 ATS as a home favorite of 3 or less. Under head coach Doug Martin, Kent is just 12-22 ATS when coming off a home game and 8-18 ATS vs. good passing teams (58%+ completion rate). Western Michigan covers.
