Kent State has won five in a row following its 27-23 victory over Eastern Michigan in the Golden Flashes' season opener last week. Dustin Crum completed 21 of 29 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns with an interception, and the Golden Flashes piled up 212 yards rushing on 4.6 per carry. Sean Lewis has made great strides in his third year as head coach as Kent State finished 7-6 last year after a 2-10 season in 2018. Crum has had a lot to do with that as he completed 69.3 percent of his passes for 2,625 yards and 20 TDs while also rushing for 707 yards in 2019. Crum also totaled 436 yards in a 51-41 win over Utah State in the Frisco Bowl. Bowling Green was crushed, 38-3, at Toledo for its fourth loss in a row dating to last season, and the Falcons have had little success for several seasons with a combined 12-36 record the last four years. The Falcons have lost by an average score of 49-9 in the four losses, and they don't figure to get much better soon with a young and inexperienced squad. Their quarterback, Matt McDonald, was a miserable 8 of 30 for only 128 yards and two picks against the Rockets, and the defense allowed more than 500 total yards. Kent State is 8-2 ATS its last 10 conference games and 8-2 ATS after an ATS loss. Bowling Green is 2-10 ATS as a home underdog and 6-20 ATS its last 26 home contests. Lay the points with Kent State for a Max Play.
