Kansas State has one of the best coaches in the country in Bill Snyder. He's got his team in bounce-back mode after a disappointing 2015 campaign. The defense has been great, allowing 33 points in three games. That included a 26-13 loss at #8 Stanford in the opener, holding Christian McAffrey and the talented Cardinal offense to 105 yards rushing (3.5 yards per carry) and 167 passing yards. The defense is fifth in the nation in points allowed (11 points per game). The Wildcats lead the Big 12 in most major defensive categories and the Wildcats are 41-17-1 ATS in conference games. K-State is 20-8-1 ATS against a team with a winning record, plus 16-5-1 ATS away against an opponent with a winning home record. West Virginia is unbeaten, but fortunate to be so after last week's squeaker with BYU, allowing 241 yards passing and 280 rushing. BYU ran for 7.0 yards per carry! West Virginia is 8-17 ATS in Big 12 games, plus 6-20 ATS at home against a team with a winning road record. Even in their win over Missouri they allowed 462 yards (180 rushing). West Virginia is also on an 18-7 run UNDER the total, including 14-3 UNDER in Big 12 contests. Underdog Kansas State is 4-0 SU/ATS the last four years with each one going UNDER the total, including a 26-20 win two years ago on this field as a +2.5 dog, and a 24-23 upset in 2015 as a +6.5 dog. Grab the superior defense to win a defensive game straight-up. Play Kansas State on the moneyline and take the UNDER.
