Kansas State at TCU

Kansas State was embarrassed by Arkansas State in the season opener losing as a 15.5-point favorite, but the Wildcats have more than made up for it with a victory over Oklahoma as a 28-point underdog and then beating Texas Tech, 31-21, last week. Quarterback Skylar Thompson left the game midway through the second quarter with a shoulder injury, and he's questionable for this week. Even so, the Wildcats showed resilience as freshman Will Howard came into the game and threw for 173 yards and a touchdown while freshman Deuce Vaughn rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Vaughn also caught a 70-yard TD pass from Howard to clinch the win. TCU bounced back from an opening loss to Iowa State with a win over Texas. The game had 26 penalties, and the Horned Frogs got a big break when Keaontay Ingram fumbled on the TCU 1 with 2:32 left in the game. Kansas State has covered four of the last five meetings, including a 24-17 win last season as a 4.5-point underdog.
