Kansas State at Iowa State

I think that the oddsmakers knew they had to pad the line i this one after Iowa State fell by 20 points to North Dakota State. The general public will see that as a huge sign of trouble, but North Dakota State is a very strong program, and it is no surprise they had success. Kansas State was whipping up on a cupcake, and after seeing that Iowa State went down to a perceived team they should have beat, the focus will likely be looking ahead to their showdown with Auburn in week three. Kansas State tore apart Iowa State last season at 41-7. Let's not forget, however, that a top 10 Kansas State team came here two years ago and escaped with a narrow win. This one looks easy, but has all the ingredients of being a game that comes down to the wire. Iowa State will be up for this one as a loss puts them their bowl contention in jeopardy at 0-2 just two weeks into the season. The Cyclones have been very strong when allowing a blowout loss of 20 points or more where they are 10-4 ATS in their next game over their last 14. This game reminds me of two years ago when Kansas State came here and had fits as a top team, and with Auburn on deck, they may be in for more than they bargained for.
