Kansas at Illinois

Illinois had no problem with FCS Eastern Illinois with Luke Altmeyer throwing for 213 yards on 19 of 24 and four touchdown passes. Kaden Feagin rushed for 108 yards on 16 carries and a TD and Aidan Laughery ran for 79 yards on 10 carries. The competition will of course get tougher this week against Kansas, which destroyed Lindenwood 48-3. Jalon Daniels completed nine of 15 for 148 yards with a TD and an interception and Devin Neal ran for 112 yards for the Jayhawks. This is a revenge game for the Fighting Illini, who lost 34-23 in Week 2 last year to the Jayhawks. However, Altmeyer looks much-improved this season after throwing too many interceptions on occasion last season although he still threw for 1,883 yards. Both teams stayed UNDER last week as their defenses dominated inferior opponents, but Kansas has gone UNDER four of its past six games. Illinois has stayed UNDER six straight Week 2 games.
